“This quote comes from an essay by Barbara Kingsolver that was published in the collection 'High Tide in Tucson,' and I've held onto it since reading it last summer. I relate it a lot to the traveling and independence that's suddenly a part of my life, which is kind of intimidating for someone like me who hasn't travelled much and is learning the concept of taking care of myself. It's a good reminder that even though the world is bigger for me now, that's not something I need to be afraid of. I'm learning to watch out for myself and keep myself healthy, which became challenging last semester when I fell ill. However, that month-long ordeal is behind me now, and reminded me that I don't have to do this entirely by myself. Support from my professors, my family, and my classmates got me through the end of the semester, and I know they'll be here to help me face wider horizons over the next few years.” – Dana (Pax), Class of 2020 ...
